Finding North with a Watch

This method will work in the Northern Hemisphere only: Point the hour hand of your watch toward the sun. Divide the angle of your hour hand and the 12 oclock position in two. The dividing line will be pointing very close to south. In the opposite direction... there's north.


True comfort in a pillow

A revelation I made one evening when struggling to obtain sleep one night is that moving the pillow down so that it supports your shoulders is actually much more comfortable. This prevents your neck from bending excessively when lying on your back, and also applies more weight to the pillow, making is flatter under your shoulders creating a nice ramp up to your head, allowing your spine to stay quite straight and relaxed. Sleep tight!


How to make a PB+J, and avoid soggy bread!

Avoid the sticky and udesireable situation where the jelly just wicks into the bread and makes it soggy.
Very simple, just put peanut butter on both slices of bread. This basically waterproofs the bread for you. Now when you put the jelly on, it will stay isolated between the layers of peanut butter all day long!! Enjoy a fresh non-soggy sandwich any time of the day.
